2/3 cups Corn Flake Crumbs
1 1/2 cups milk
1/3 cup diced onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon parsley
3 tablespoons melted butter
3 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups American cheese, shredded
1 1/2 lbs. sliced, cooked, and drained carrots.
Topping: Combine Corn Flake Crumbs with 2 tablespoons of melted butter.
1. Combine remaining butter and ionion. Saute' over low heat.
Add flour, salt, pepper, and milk. Cook until thickened.
Add cheese, stir until smooth.
2. Add carrots and parsley, minced. Stir.
3. Pour mixture into 1 1/2 quart-baking dish. Spread topping over mixture.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
